Best Seasons:

Everest Base Camp can be visited nearly all months of the year except the monsoon wet seasons from mid June to mid September (although lush and green with much moisture with less trekkers, where mountain views much of the days are obstructed by rain clouds).

March to May when wild flowers are in season specially the rhododendron (national flower of Nepal) of several species from tall trees to bush, much of the day is clearer can be cold in the morning and night times and in shade away from sunlight.

October to December much of the days are clear for scenic views of peaks, while the sunlight hours are shorter due to mid autumn and winter seasons, can be much colder with freezing temperatures on higher elevation with chances of snow.

Itinerary


  1. Day 1

    Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

    On fresh arrival at Kathmandu airport received by our company staff and guide for transfer to your respective hotels in the hub of Kathmandu city, with time for refreshment after jet lag, then join in for trek briefing at meeting place where our guide will inform you with all necessary details regarding the trek to Everest base camp, flights, weather situations, local culture and traditions, flora-fauna, do’s and don’ts with related information including hotels in Kathmandu and options for sightseeing tours, at the end of the trek.

  2. Day 2

    From Kathmandu fly to Lukla 2,820 m trek to Phakding 2,657 m - 04 hrs

    Early morning as per the flight time for Lukla depart from the hotel to Kathmandu domestic airport for short air flights of 30 minutes to reach at Lukla, on reaching Lukla with time to get organized and then start trek on gradual downhill to follow Dudh-Kosi River and valley to reach at Phakding village for overnight stop.

  3. Day 3

    Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440 m - 06 hrs

    A long walk today as morning starts to cross a river and then past several nice Sherpa village to reach at Monjo a nice colorful village, then walk into Sagarmatha National Park (listed as World Heritage Sites). From here walk leads on river bank and then climb on winding uphill into cool shade of rhododendron-oaks and pine forest facing views of Kongde, Kusum Khanguru and Tharmarserku peaks, and then reach our overnight stop at famous Namche Bazaar, a large village or a small town with many good restaurants, hotels, lodge, number of shops and stores includes Bank and Post-Office. At Namche enjoy the comfort of nice cozy lodge, within views of snow capped peaks.

  4. Day 4

    Acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar with short hike.

    At Namche around this heights, where rest day for acclimatization much important and necessary before heading higher altitude, to support and to acclimatize the best way is to walk and climb higher to some scenic view-points. Namche offers side-walks to Everest View Hotel (first luxury hotel in Khumbu) which is about 2 hrs hike uphill rewards incredible panorama of mountain views with Everest. Other walk on top Namche near Park Headquarter with a museum where you can gather information of Khumbu, mountaineering expedition and Sherpa people history including culture with flora and fauna. The spot offer grand views of snow-capped with Everest and Amadablam.

  5. Day 5

    Trek to Thyangboche 3,867 m - 05 hrs

    Morning starts with short climb and then on gradual trail overlooking views of Everest and Amadablam with array of peaks as walk descend towards Imjatse River within a gorge at Phunke-Tenga, a small settlement possible lunch stop. Afternoon climb leads into alpine forest facing views of peaks Kangtenga-Tharmasarku as walk ends atop Thyangboche for overnight stop within close to its impressive monastery. After checking into your room visit of monastery witness monks and priest on religious activities of prayer, Thyangboche offers great panorama of peaks with Everest and Amadablam within its lovely forest of rhododendron-magnolia-oaks-juniper-birch and fir tree lines.

  6. Day 6

    Trek to Dingboche 4,364 m - 05 hrs

    From Thyangboche facing super views of Mt. Everest with surrounding peaks, as morning walk descend into green woodland to reach a river, crossing over a bridge where green vegetation and tree lines drops for arid and windswept  landscapes as walk reaches at Pangboche. Pangboche the last permanent village on route Everest base camp where’s other places higher up around Dingboche and Lobuche are temporary settlements with lodge to cater the needs of travelers. Slowly walk leads past Pangboche heading higher with ups and down to a river, with last climb of the day for an hour to reach a scenic Imjatse valley at Dingboche facing North Side of Amadablam with views of Island Peak towards east direction.

  7. Day 7

    Trek to Lobuche 4,895 m - 05 hrs

    After a pleasant stop at Dingboche, morning walk leads to short climb to reach a hill festooned with Buddhist prayer flags and monuments, from here enjoy views of peaks as far to Mt. Makalu in the east, as walk heads on nice path with views of Cholatse and Taboche peaks as walk reaches at Thugla, where massive Khumbu glacier melts into a torrential river. At Thugla for possible lunch stop and rest, before heading higher up to Lobuche, having break and lunch start with slow climb to a ridge top lines with memorial of unfortunate mountaineers who risk their life climbing high mountains around Khumbu and Everest. From here a good walk with gradual up to reach at Lobuche located on the corner of a wide valley beneath peaks of Lobuche East and West.

  8. Day 8

    Trek to Everest Base Camp 5,365 m via Gorakshep 5,180 m - 06 hrs

    From Lobuche our actual adventure begins early morning with slow climb to reach above with steep climb to reach at Khumbu glacier. As walk continues over rocky moraines to reach at Gorakshep located beneath Kalapathar and Mt. Pumori, after a brief rest continue walk further east to reach our target to Everest base camp. Finally reaching right at the bottom of Number one peaks at Everest Base Camp enclosed within high peaks of Lola-Nuptse, Lhotse with closes views of Khumbu Ice-Falls and glaciers, where in the months of April and May this base camp will be flooded with tented camps of different mountaineering Expedition to climb Everest and Lhotse. After a wonderful walk with exciting times achieving our target where walk leads back to Gorakshep for overnight stop before downhill walk to Lukla after a climb on top Kalapathar.

  9. Day 9

    Morning climb Kalapathar 5,545 m walk to Pangboche 3,900 m- 06 hrs

    Early morning at dawn before breakfast start climb to reach on top Kalapathar above 5,545 m high, the highest point of the adventure, facing glorious views of high giant peaks and close to Mt. Everest and Mt. Pumori. After great moment back to Gorakshep after breakfast then continue descend to Pheriche valley and then further to our overnight stop at Pangboche village.

  10. Day 10

    Trek to Namche Bazaar - 06 hrs

    On completing great adventure to Everest base camp including climb of high Kalapathar, an easy downhill but long walk to reach Namche Bazaar, morning walk leads back at Thyangboche monastery within tree lines. From here a pleasant scenic back to Namche Bazaar for last overnight stops in Khumbu before Lukla.

  11. Day 11

    Trek to Lukla - 06 hrs

    Final and last day walks of the adventure as morning takes you to long descend reaching river valley and past Sagarmatha National Park near Monjo village, as walk continues past Phakdingma and then with last final climb of less than an hour to reach at Lukla for overnight stop before heading back to Kathmandu.

  12. Day 12

    Fly to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel with free afternoon at leisure.

    As normal schedule flight for Kathmandu, morning with early breakfast in Lukla then transfer to Tenzing and Hillary air terminal at Lukla Airport, and then boarding in a small aircraft where short scenic flight reaches you at Kathmandu airport, and then transfer to your respective hotels.

  13. Day 13

    Contingency day in case of flight delay due to unfavorable weather.

    We have reserved this day as contingency in case of flight delay in and out of Lukla which take place sometimes as per weather factor of unfavorable unexpected conditions. To be in the safe side this day helps to maintain with the itinerary days, during this free day one can take a sightseeing tour around Kathmandu within world heritage sites.

  14. Day 14

    Depart Kathmandu for international flight homeward bound.

    With your last day in amazing Nepal and its wonderful high Himalaya mountains, as per your flight time, our staff transfers you at Kathmandu and Nepal only international airport for flight back home or to respective destinations.
