Brief Itinerary:

Day01:          Fly to Lukla 2,820 m (30 mins)trek to Phakding 2,657 m- 04 hrs.

Day02:          Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440 m– 06 hrs.

Day03:          Rest day at Namche Bazaar foracclimatization and excursion.

Day04:          Trek to Thyangboche 3,867 m – 05 hrs.

Day 05:          Trekto Monjo 2,880 m – 06 hrs.

Day 06:          Trekto Lukla and transfer to lodge.

Day 07:          Flyback to Kathmandu and end of the treks.

Itinerary


  1. Day 1

    Fly to Lukla 2,820 m (30 mins) trek to Phakding 2,640 m-04 hrs.

    Morning as your flight time transfer to Kathmandu domestic airport for short flight to reach Lukla, a Sherpa town with an interesting small airstrip and the airport named after late legendry mountaineers Tenzing and Hillary.

    From here walk on nice pleasant path to reach Phakding for overnight stop after first day trekking through villages adorned with Buddhist prayer monument which you witness on walks.

  2. Day 2

    Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440 m - 04 hrs.

    Morning second day trek leads with slow climb within Dudh Kosi River gorge and cross a ling bridge to reach at Monjo village with views of Tharmarserku and Kongde peaks.

    From here short walk reaches at Sagarmatha National Park (Everest is known as Sagarmatha in Nepalese and Sherpa calls Chomolungma).

    Walk leads to last village Jorsalle where walk takes you around river bed within cool shade of forest towards high bridge and then on long winding uphill to Namche Bazaar for two overnights stops. 

  3. Day 3

    Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization and excursion

    Namche provides nearly all facilities for visitors with nice good hotels; lodge and restaurants with bakeries included many shops and well stocked stores as well banks and ATM, a nice town and a large village where one can take a hike to scenic view point hill and to Everest View Hotel.

    Where walking ups and sleeping low supports acclimatization for trekkers, another great short walk on top Namche Bazaar where national park museum located, an interesting place to collect information of Khumbu Sherpa, flora-fauna as well of mountaineering history.

    The top of Namche offers grand views of Everest and Amadablam with other range of peaks.

  4. Day 4

    Trek to Thyangboche 3,867 m - 05 hrs.

    Today walk leads to our main highlight at scenic Thyangboche and the

    Monastery, morning walk on nice wide path facing views of Everest and other

    high mountains, then descend to a river near a place Phunke-Tenga located in the

    midst of forest surrounding, an ideal spot for lunch break before the climb to

    Thyangboche.

     

    Afternoon taking a slow climb on winding uphill within cool shade of alpine tree

    lines includes tall trees of rhododendron, magnolia, pines, birch, firs and junipers

    then finally day ends on reaching at beautiful spot in Thyangboche with glorious

    panorama of high mountains that surrounds the place.

     

    Overnight stop in Thyangboche where visit leads to its impressive monastery

    where interior decorated with bright religious painting and large statue of Lord

    Buddha with other important Gurus of Buddhism history, after an exciting tour

    relax and enjoy the scenery.

  5. Day 5

    Trek to Monjo 2,880 m - 06 hrs.

    One of the longest day walk will be today but interesting as route leads back on

    the same trail with long descend and with few steep up to tackle, as journey leads

    to Namche for short break, and then continue downhill to Dudh Kosi River banks

    and with slow climb to Monjo village for overnight stop.

  6. Day 6

    Trek to Lukla and transfer to lodge.

    Last day of short Everest trekking takes you back at Lukla with easy and pleasant

    walks past Phakding village as trail meanders on winding ups and down with last

    short climb to reach Lukla for final overnight stops around high Khumbu and

    Everest area with afternoon free to explore around Lukla an interesting town to

    get the glimpse of Sherpa cultures.

  7. Day 7

    Fly back to Kathmandu and end of the treks.

    Morning short walk into Tenzing and Hillary air-terminal at Lukla where scenic

    flight on a small aircraft (Dornier / Twin Otter or similar type plane) brings you to

    hustle and bustle city life in Kathmandu to complete our mesmerizing adventure

    on short Everest Trekking.
