Day 2: Chisapani to Nagarkot, back to Kathmandu

Sundarijal is located almost 15 kilometers away from the capital city, Kathmandu. If you take a bus from Old Bus park, you can easily reach Sundarijal. You should take stairs and head towards Shivapuri National Park. The hike from Sundarijal to Chisapani depends on the hiker’s capability to hike. It normally takes about 4 to 5 hours.

Is it safe for kids?
The Chisapani hiking route is graded easy. Also, there is no age restriction for this 2-day hike. The route is easy and can be completed by children as well. However, parents are advised to take care of their young children. The guide will do his/her best to make the hike as safe as possible.

What should I carry for this hike?
It is recommended to carry a backpack with a water bottle, first-aid kit, sunblock, and some extra clothes. Also, carry other necessary items like personal toiletries and snacks as per your wish. If you need trekking poles to make the hike easier, you can buy/rent it in areas around Thamel.

What should I wear?
