You’ll commence the tour with a scenic journey to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites around Kathmandu Valley and witness the rich Newari culture. Explore the culturally rich destinations such as Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, and the three historical Durbar Squares. Before approaching the warm weather of lowland Terai, you’ll take a brief tour to Nagarkot –a popular hill-station located outside Kathmandu Valley. The serene hills of Nagarkot offer beautiful scenery of sunrise along with majestic vistas of mountains in Ganesh, Langtang, and Dorje Lakpa peaks.
The tour advances towards Chitwan National Park located almost 5/6hr from Kathmandu. You’ll embark on a Jungle Safari inside Chitwan National Park riding an Asiatic Elephant. Alternatively, you can also choose to take a jeep and explore the national park. A few of the wildlife which can be spotted inside the park include One-horned Rhino, Royal Bengal Tiger, Mugger Crocodile, and Rhesus Monkey.
The tour continues towards the nearby Elephant Breeding center and Das Hazari Tal (Lake). In the evening, you will spend time canoeing down the Rapti River. Before heading back to Kathmandu, you can indulge in a brief bird-watching activity. Along the tour, you will get to observe the indigenous lifestyle and culture of the native Tharu, Danuwar, and Majhi tribe. Itinerary Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Welcome to Kathmandu! Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, our representative will welcome and greet you at the airport and guide you towards the hotel. After a short introduction session, you can check into the hotel. You will meet your tour guide who will brief you on the day to day itinerary. Afterward, you can choose to go out and explore the popular Thamel area.
Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing
Followed by breakfast, you’ll embark on a sightseeing tour of the historical Kathmandu Valley. The tour begins with a visit to Swayambhunath Stupa located in the western skirt of the valley. It is a serene Buddhist stupa perched atop the hill overlooking the entire city. You’ll get to climb the mighty 365 stone steps to the top. Next, you’ll head to the Kathmandu Durbar Square which houses many Hindu temples and ancient monuments. From here, the tour advances to the other side of the city to Pashupatinath. It is the largest Hindu temple in Nepal. The tour ends with a visit to the Boudhanath Stupa, a major Buddhist site in the city. You can witness the arrival of thousands of pilgrims and tourists. You can witness them circumambulating the stupa in a uniform manner.
Day 03: Patan and Bhaktapur Sightseeing with Nagarkot Sunset and Sunrise View
The tour of the Kathmandu valley will follow with a scenic visit to two other historical destinations inside the valley. You’ll first embark on a tour to Patan. Patan is home to the largest number of Newar Buddhist adherents. Along with exploring many traditional Buddhist Chortens, you will get to witness major Hindu temples and a historical Malla palace. After lunch, the tour advances towards another historical city, Bhaktapur. It is the oldest city inside Kathmandu valley. Bhaktapur houses the 55-windowed palace, Nyatapola, Changunarayan, Siddha Pokhari, and many Hindu temples. After relishing the Newar culture and lifestyle, you drive towards Nagarkot. It is a famous hill-station which offers a surreal panorama of the surrounding mountains.
Day 04: Drive from Nagarkot to Chitwan |5-6 Hours, Chitwan Excursion
An early morning hike will bring you to a local view tower from where you can witness the breathtaking view of the sunrise. If the weather is clear, you can get a majestic vista of mountains in Langtang, Ganesh, Jugal, and Dorje Lakpa ranges. Afterward, you’ll head down for breakfast and embark on a road journey to Chitwan. Your guide will escort you to your hotel. After checking in, you can go out and explore the national park. The park is a sanctuary for over 700 Royal Bengal Tigers and One-horned Rhinos.
Day 05: Chitwan National Park Excursion with Activities
The day begins with a jungle safari inside the Chitwan National Park. You’ll drive to the nearby station where you can hire an elephant for the safari. Led by a Mahut, you’ll ride an Asiatic Elephant and tour the park. You may encounter endemic wildlife such as One-horned Rhino, leopards, striped hyenas, Royal Bengal Tiger, Gharials, mugger crocodiles, and Rhesus monkey on the tour. You can walk along the village and arrive at the nearby Elephant Breeding Center and Crocodile Breeding Center. The evening will follow with a lavish local cuisine and the folk dance of the Tharu tribe.
Day 06: Chitwan National Park Excursion and Drive Back to Kathmandu |4-5 Hours
Today, you’ll drive back to Kathmandu, but before that, you can indulge in some fun activities. After breakfast, you can take a walk along the Rapti River and enjoy bird watching. Chitwan is home to many exotic birds including Cormorants, Blue Indian Roller, Hornbills, Grey-Headed Eagles, Ruby Cheeked Sunbird, Stork-billed Kingfishers, and Bengal Florican. After a brief shopping spree at Sauraha, you’ll embark on a jeep and head back to Kathmandu. Once at Kathmandu, you’ll check into the hotel.
Day 07: Departure

The best seasons to visit Nepal are during spring and autumn. Spring season begins at the end of February and lasts until June, whereas, autumn begins at mid-September and continues until the end of November.
