11 Days Nepal Tibet Himalayas Tour

Background

An experience like no other, the Nepal Tibet Himalayas Tour offers you the very best of the Himalayan countries. Separated by the majestic Himalayan Ranges are Tibet and Nepal; both places often described as a Shangri-La of nature and culture. Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Sera Monastery, and Barkhor Street in Lhasa are the highlights of the tour. And, to the other side of the Himalayas lies the country of Nepal. The scenic beauty of Pokhara, exotic wildlife in Chitwan, and the cultural heritages spread around Kathmandu Valley are fine examples of what the nation has to offer.

Our 11-day Himalayan adventure begins in the city of Gonggar from where we head towards the capital city of Tibet, Lhasa. First up on our list is the ancient Jokhang Temple, a marvel of Tibetan culture and religion. We follow it up with the bustling Barkhor Street and Sera Monastery. Continuing our adventure the next day, we tour the ancient Potala Palace its art and architecture reflecting the Tibetan way of life rarely mirrored elsewhere. The palace is also known as the winter palace and was the residence of the former Dalai Lama. Another one of the three great monasteries is Drepung Monastery and it is the final stop in Tibet before we head over the Himalayas towards Kathmandu, Nepal. Flying to Pokhara the very next day, we begin our journey surrounded by the majestic Annapurna Himalayan Range and the tranquil environment of the Pokhara Valley. In Pokhara, we will visit Mahendra Cave, Bat Cave, Davis Falls, and go boating in the tranquil Phewa Lake. Next, we head towards Chitwan to embark on an unforgettable wildlife adventure in Chitwan National Park. The final stop is the Kathmandu valley where culture and religion come alive to offer an unforgettable experience. The tour takes you to Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square.

We, here at Himalaya Holiday, love travelling and employ experienced staff and guide committed to giving you the best experience. An international tour means resources on either side of the nation and meticulous planning.
