Your trip starts with a short 25-minute drive from your hotel in Lakeside to Sarangkot. On reaching Sarangkot, you will meet your guide. You will then be briefed about flight safety and will have to sign a contract for your flight. The procedure will take about 15-20 minutes. Your paragliding trip starts after completing the formalities. You will take a short 20-minute drive back to your accommodation after enjoying the flight.

Key information about Paragliding in Pokhara
The best time to enjoy paragliding is during spring (March to May) or autumn (September to November).
There are three sets of time slots for the flights during the day: 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, and 2:00 PM. 
If you are an experienced paraglider and want to fly alone, you must get a flying permit from the civil aviation office in Pokhara.
Pregnant women and people with bone/tissue injuries are not allowed to participate.
Wear comfortable clothes. It is recommended that you do not wear crop tops and short pants so that it is suitable to use the harness.
All riders have to wear secure closed-toed shoes.
Paragliding involves non-motorized inflatable wing, which is launched by foot. Do not panic during take-off time.
Wear the safety helmet provided properly.
Commercial tandem flights are not allowed with the Air Operation Certificate (AOC).
If you are doing the cross country tour, take a sleeping bag and down jacket with you.

Do I need to bring any special equipment?
There is a piece of special equipment for paragliding and usually, people who have experienced the sport many times will have knowledge about the paragliding specific equipment. So, all necessary paragliding specific equipment will be provided. Also, if you opt to do a 15- day course, you will be provided with all the necessary equipment.

Is it safe?
Paragliding in Pokhara is safe. The commercial trips on tandem flights stay within safety margins. During peak seasons, there are more than 200 flights per day. The course of the flight is smooth. The flights take off from a controlled take off area and lands safely near the lake. However, you should make sure that the company you choose to fly with has an insurance coverage.

How long will the trip take?
In the day trip, the actual flying will be of about 35 to 45 minutes. You should set aside about one or two hours to get to the site and involve in the briefing session. Similarly, equipment checks, and fitting takes time. Cross country tours will allow longer flights, sometimes lasting many hours.

Will I get sick during the flight?
There are often no chances of getting sick during the flight except if you are prone to motion sickness. Normally, the flight will be of 45 minutes. The scenery will be overwhelming, and the gliding will be smooth. In case you are prone to motion sickness, we recommend you inform your pilot about it. The pilot will try to make the flight short.
