Joining the Everest base camp helicopter tour was not part of our plan; we were set to trek to the Everest base camp. The unfavorable weather delayed the scheduled flight to Lukla from Kathmandu and canceled for three days. 
With no hope of covering the 12 days of trekking, the best option was to join the Everest base camp Helicopter tour. On the fourth day, the weather was clear for all flights, but it was too late for us. However, we enjoyed the tour on a helicopter,
at least we made it to Everest at its closest distance. Thanks to the tour operator Himalayan Holiday Service for reserving space for us.
