Itinerary– Everest Helicopter trekking
Day 1 Arrive in Kathmandu
After your arrival in Tribhuwan International airport, you will be picked up and transferred to a hotel in Kathmandu. Check in the hotel and rest for a while. You can take your time and stroll around the streets of Kathmandu at the end of the day.
Day 2 Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding
Pack your bags and set out for your trip! You will be transferred to the domestic terminal of Kathmandu airport. Catch a flight to Lukla and enjoy the views of mountains as you fly to Lukla. Upon arrival, meet your guide and porter who will escort you for the journey ahead. Walk through the hotels, lodges and shopa of Lukla and descend down to Dudhkohi River. Follow a trail that goes through the river and continue walking along a well paved path to Phakding. Stop at a guesthouse in Phakding for the night
Day 3 Phakding to Namche
Follow the trail as it takes you to the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park. Enter the park and venture into the forests of rhododendron, pine and birch. Walk ahead up and down through the undulating path with wonderful views of mountains and forests on sight. Cross the suspension bridges over the river and continue ascending up until you reach the town of Namche, the only gateway to Everest. Stay at a guesthouse in Namche for the night.
Day 4 Hike to Everest View Hotel
Wake up early in the morning for a hike up to the Everest View Hotel. The hotel is best known for the fantastic views of mountains that it offers. Located at a perfect destination, it offers some magnificent close of views of mountains in Everest region. You can relish the beauty of mountains with of sip of your tea/coffee in the hotel. Return back to Namche after the hike. On the way back, you can visit a museum cum photo gallery. Exploration of Khumjung village will add to the excitement of your walk back to Namche. Stay at a guesthouse in Namche for the night.
Day 5 Trek to Tengboche
We leave Namche and follow the trail that leads us to Dudhkoshi valley. We head towards the valley with awesome views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Thamserku and Mt. Ama Dablam on sight. We pass villages, forests and walk along the right side of the Dudhkoshi river to Tengboche. Tengboche is a small village on the route that is popular for the Tengboche monastery and spectacular views of mountains that this place offers. Stay at a guesthouse in Tengboche for the night.
Day 6 Tengboche to Dingboche
After breakfast, we start our walk to Dingboche. We pass several chortens, mani walls and charming villages to Dingboche. As we head forward, we will find Mt. Amadablam more close to us. We enter Imja valley and descend down to Lobuche river. From the river, we climb up steep until we reach the meadows of Dingboche. From Dingboche, we can see a spectacular views of stone walls, summer settlement of herders, grazing animals and stone walls built to protect the barley, potato and buckwheat vegetation.We stay at a guesthouse in Tengboche for the night.
Day 7 Hike to Nagerjun
For acclimatization purpose, we stay at Dingboche today. However, we will hike up to Nagerjun for wonderful views of mountains in that region. Nagerjun is a beautiful vantage point that lies just above Dingboche. It is 3-4 hours walk uphill from Dingboche. From Nagerjun, you can get some close of views of Mt. Lobuche, Mt. Kangtega, Mt. Taboche, Mt. Thamserku and Mt Amadablam. On a clear day, even Mt. Makalu is visible. After admiring views of mountains and Pheriche valley from Nagerjun, we return back to the guesthouse in Dingboche for the night.
Day 8 Dingboche to Lobuche
We head towards Lobuche today. We leave Dingboche, pass a trekkers aid post at Pheriche and continue our walk until we reach Chupki Lhara. From here, we descend down to moraine of Khumbu glacier. You can get an absolute views of mountains like Mt. Khumbutse, Mt. Lingtren, Mahalangur Himal and Mt. Pumori from the moraine. We pass moraine and a glacier pass to Lobuche. We stay at a guesthouse in Lobuche for the night.
Day 9 Trek to Gorekshep – Everest Base Camp and back to Gorekshep
Get set for the most awaited day of your journey. Start your trek with a slow walk from Lobuche with striking views of Khumbu glacier on right. After 3-4 hours walk, you reach Gorekshep, a convenient location near base camp for lodging and food. We do not give rest to our feet until we reach the Everest Base Camp. We enjoy some incredible views of mountains from the base camp and return back to Gorekshep for overnight stay.
Day 10 Hike to Kalapatthar and fly back to Kathmandu
We wake up early to see the first touch of sun on the world’s highest mountain – Mt. Everest. As we hike up to Kalapatthar, we can see the panoramic views of mountains in Everest region. Mt. Everest is clearly visible from here. We enjoy the majestic views of mountains in Everest region from Kalapatthar and enjoy taking wonderful photographs of mountains in here. After spending some time in Kalapatthar, we fly back to Kathmandu on a helicopter. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 11 Departure day
You will be escorted to the airport for your scheduled flight ahead.
