Short Everest Trek 7 Days

Short Everest Trek 7 Days

This short trek at the lower altitudes of mt. Everest region can be done in a week. The beauty of this trip is that it can be done even without having previous trekking experience. It is a program designed to suit for even the starter, yet, it provides a very good experience of Khumbu. Highlights of this program are magnificent views of the Khumbu mountains including Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Pumori and other peaks. This is an all-time popular trek in Nepal and is also the standard trekking program to the Everest Region.

The journey begins from Kathmandu with a 40-minute flight to Lukla. From there the trek starts – first taking you to Phakding and later to Namche Bazaar. You will spend time in the lands of the Sherpa, stay in their hospitality and see their culture. Along your trekking you will see time-worn isolated villages in valleys with incredible ridges. You will see yaks grazing in pastures, and lines and lines of more yaks carrying goods up and down the mountains.

With this trip, you will gain a taste of trekkingclose to Everest. The trail is lined by unique flora and fauna. You will crossthe glacial river of Dudh-Koshi whose waters have a deep-white deep-emerald-ishcolour – one which is difficult to define in a single word. And Namche – onceyou arrive at this mountain town, you will have a firsthand experience of abustling community. Seemingly isolated and detached from the rest of the world,as the location might seem, it is anything but. Its streets are full of aromascoming out of several bright shops. Here you will find high-speed Internetconnectivity, you will hear sounds of the espresso machines hissing andbeeping, and even taste a margherita right out of a fiery roast!

The best season to take this trip is in autumn and spring. In autumn the weather is clear, making it possible for you to have close-up views of several Himalayan peaks from different angles. The suitably right temperature of Solukhumbu at this season makes the trek more cheerful and lively. It is an easy-to-moderate trek that can be done by people of all fitness levels. You do not need a regular walking habit, but it would definitely be a plus. Go on this trek if you are planning to visit Nepal to see the peaks of Everest.
